FAQ

• Check In Time: 4:00pm and Check Out Time – 11:00am
• Water is potable (drinkable): It’s tested and is maintained by a local trusted company that provides water to us and may other cottage owners.
• Ice Machine: What is a cocktail without ice? Never fear, an ice maker is provided to keep your drinks frosty and refreshing?
• Coffee Maker: If you drink a lot of coffee then this coffee maker is for you. The tank has to heat up for a while and then once it is heated, it will make a few pots non stop.
• Keurig: Great for single cup use, flavoured coffees and time you need a quick cup of joe.
• Septic: The septic meter is visible in the backyard, if it looks high above the ground, please contact us so we can have it taken care of.
• Linens: Sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows, hand towels, dish cloths and tea towels are available for you use. Please bring your own shower towels and swimming towels.
• Games & Books: There are games and books in the hutch for you to enjoy during your stay.
• Shed: The shed key is in the drawer beside the fridge. It has bikes and beach chairs for your use. Please ensure to lock up when not in use. Please leave all other lawn maintenance items untouched, we will take of the yard work.
• Barbeque: There is a BBQ for your use. The igniter does not work, but lets be real, do they ever really work? There is a BBQ lighter provided and you just have to light it through the hole provided in the BBQ.
• Neighbours: Our neighbours are great, so please be respectful and keep noise to a minimum after 11:00pm.
• Fire Pit: Please keep fires small and cleaned up.
• Fire Bans: Please be aware and keep in mind that sometimes there are fire bans in Norfolk County. Please follow all county rules.

Departure Checklist

We work hard to keep our cottage neat and clean for our guests, so we hope you respect and enjoy it as much as we do! We ask that you check to make sure the following items are completed upon your departure. There are cleaning supplies and equipment at the cottage if you need them. Out of courtesy, we ask that if you deplete any of these supplies that you, please replace them for the next guests! Enjoy your stay!

• INSIDE THE COTTAGE
  • Clean out fridge and freezer and wipe clean as required (Please leave condiments that were in fridge door upon arrival)
  • Please feel welcome to use condiments and spices that you did not bring, but please replace what you deplete.
  • Check coffee maker – do not leave grounds in filter
  • Check for personal belongings in all the rooms (under beds, etc.)
• DECK/OUTSIDE AREAS
  • Please put cushions for deck chairs neatly inside the shed
  • Check and clean up any cigarette butts, garbage, etc. around the yard (Please DO NOT smoke in the cottage)
• GENERAL
  • Check all windows and doors and make sure they are closed and locked
  • Check all garbage cans have been emptied and garbage and recycling removed from the cottage.
